First the good news:

This is the limited model. This car is being sold by the original owner and has been meticulously cared for. All major work and service performed at dealer. Only 150K miles. Heat and A/C work great. Roof Rack. Automatic Transmission. Rear window defrost. Spare tire. Clear title. New Michelins<15K miles. New top of the line battery<1 year. New belts<3K miles. Full time AWD. Leather seating. Heated front seats. Front driver and passenger airbag. AM/FM/CD. Keyless entry with alarm. Power windows and locks. ABS. This is the luxury model Outback.

Now the bad:

Driver side window needs new motor and will not go down. Is currently stuck in the up position. Car most likely has a blown head gasket.

This is a great car for someone who is mechanically inclined and wants a fantastic AWD vehicle.

SALE IS CASH ONLY AND PRICE IS FIRM. Car being sold AS IS. I have the Carfax(TM) report. I am not shipping the car anywhere. Nor am I accepting money orders for more than cost and wiring the remainder back to you or someone else. There will be no test drives. Car runs and if you buy it and want to drive it home fine. You can start the engine when you come look at it.

I have more pics available for e-mail.

Car is located in Raleigh, NC.

Ok, I would suggest pulling this post because you will never get 1900 dollars on this forum. Your car is worth 500 to 700 here. I would suggest Craigslist. This is a good place if you wanted to part it out. I am not sure if you could get 1900 working here. Good Luck.

Im going to ask $4000-5000 for the two outbacks I have here for sale. Both are limited models, MY 98 and MY 97. Must really be a location thing. Both of mine also have fully rebuilt engines in them.

I would pay $1900 for it IF IT WAS IN OREGON. I say keep the ad up, but craigslist is a good supplement.

Please read the Marketplace rules stickied at the top of the Marketplace forum. This is the one main rule for replying to a "For Sale" thread.

If you think someones price is too high then simply do not buy it. To argue someones price on an open forum is not only tacky but in poor taste.

For this section of the country I'd also say that the price is a little high. The asking price is only about 900-1400 less than what it would sell for in perfect shape and rebuilt motor.

Where else should they have gone to list a Subaru for sale.

Psst, take his advice, follow the rules...
