first let me say that I hate it when the first post of someone on a forum is to sell something. so I am sorry. I am reputable under the same username on www.theeugenevwscene.com (local), www.4g61t.com (long term member), and www.carfreeks.net (my brother is a post-whore there and I browse a lot). The story is next, if you want to skip to the nuts and bolts, look further down.
anyway. I bought this 88 GL-10 because I knew the last few owners and I always loved the car. its mean looking. it sounds mean. and its wierd. I like wierd (more on that later). I bought ($500)it with the original motor in the back, a replacement under the hood, and between the two motors, only about 5.5 cylinders were pulling their own weight. I drove the car the 5 miles from where I bought it to where I lived, and it got hot on the way. hot enought that if I lived any further away I would have towed it. anyway, that night I bought a head gasket set, pan gasket (I read on the USMB and it said they're easier out of the car), and oil filter. ($100) the car sat while I moved from place to place, and when I finally got a shop and a schedule to align I yanked the motor and tore it down. thats where it sits. I have no more money to put into the car, as I have recently found a project that I wanted for a looooong time , a 1977 vw scirocco. add that to the wifes one-day daily (a 1975 dodge colt, baby blue vinyl over white) and my never-ending veedub projects and you can see that this soob needs a better home.
SPECS:
-1988 GL-10, Power windows/locks/sunroof, cruise, trip computer (dont know if it works but its there), had A/C, black in color, 160k on the body, unknown on the motor. recon title due to a parking-lot-speed rear-ending that wrinkled the core support (fixed so you cant even tell)
-Turbo, auto (I like it, with 2nd gear lockout who really needs a stick?)
-Full time 4wd
-black "phone-dial" ALUMINUM wheels
-Professionally tinted within the last 2 years, still perfect.
-Pneumatic suspension that has been wired to three push-buttons so you can get it ALL the way up, ALL the way down, or anywhere in the middle. does not leak, does work.
-CUSTOM WELL-FABBED TOP-MOUNT INTERCOOLER with a small fan mounted to the bottom for flow at low speeds (see pics below)
-Full mandrel 2.5" exhaust, no muffler, polished angle-cut tip
these last five items are worth the asking price. everything else can be scrapped.

I have a few more pictures, but none of them that great. some issues I can think of off hand... some ****** dented the pass front fender, not paint damage, could be fixed by a half-skilled body man (I am but 1/4 skilled, at best). The headliner is coming down, but thats an 80's car thing since they were originally held in with hair-gel and flock-of-seagulls hairdo's. There is no stereo, did not come with the car. I didn't mind. hope you don't. still a tweeter in each door I think, and maybe even components in the doors, too. I dont recall as I am not an audiophile. I like the sound of the turbo/BOV/exhaust waaaay more.
I had my friend Andrew ( Ihatehonda or something like that) post this for me a while ago, but I thougt it best for me to put in the whole story.
to recap, this car comes with 2 dissasembled motors, the intercooler setup, the gaskets I bought, and a gratefull handshake from me if you promise to get it back to its ultra-80's, hammer-pants-and-tape-deck glory. (the last part is negotiable)
oh, and the car is located ~60miles south of Portland OR
