Greetings folks.

I'm sad to say, but I think its come time to part with our Subaru. We've loved it, and it has treated us well... but we're moving to southwestern Alaska, and we need something with some more ground clearance and room (probably a bigger SUV...).

Everyone on the forum has treated me well, so I want to give the folks here first dibs. We're in Saskatchewan, Canada now, but we'll be in the Seattle area at the end of June, which is where we'd like to sell it (or somewhere on the way.... Spokane, Idaho, etc).

Here's the basics:
1996 Legacy LS Wagon
Automatic transmission
220,000 miles (by the time we get to Seattle at the end of June)
Red exterior
Grey interior
Roof rack
Sun/moon roof
alloy wheels
CD player (aftermarket)
Runs great
VIN: 4S3BK4553T7314137

Here's what I've had done on it (all within the last 30,000 miles and 2 years)
-timing belt
-accessory belts
-tranny flush
-rear differential flush
-water pump
-radiator & hoses
-4 new tires (a little less than half treadware left, all matching, I believe they are Goodyear Eagle 2 tires... 60,000 mile)
-routine oil changes
-air filter
-plugs & wires
-new battery
-alignment
-MAF sensor cleaned & seafoamed intake
-fuel filter
-new knock sensor (OEM)

The bad:
-horizontal crack on bottom of windshield. The crack is low enough that I have never fixed it, and it has never been a problem
-typical body scratches, paint chips, and dents for a car with this many miles and this many years old (the biggest dent is above the right side of the rear bumper... it is about 4-5 inches across and 3-4 inches high... approximately, there are no other major dents besides this one... it could probably easily be pushed out)
-minor oil leak.... I add about half a quart between oil changes... the only reason I mention it is because occasionally you will smell burnt oil while stopped (oil dripping onto exhaust).

Kelly Blue Book says that this car would be worth somewhere between $3100 and $3500 in the Seattle area, depending on whether you say it is in fair or good condition. I would say mechanically it is in good condition, and the body is in fair/good... no major rust issues that I am aware of. I bought the car in Tennessee, and it was in North Carolina before that.

Make an offer! :)

I know this is still a little ways off, but I would like to see if I can get a potential buyer before we get into the Seattle area, because we'll only be there about a week. Thanks!

Jim
