MaroonDuneDoom
my ea82 engine has a funny exhaust rhythm. what i mean is it seems to glug instead of being smooth. i was told that a cylinder may be missing or really low on compression. does this happen with anybody else's car? i checked the ignition system first. it's just fine. i don't own a compression test so i don't have too much to go by. how can i find out what cylinder it is? thankya
bushbasher
when idling pull a plug wire... if the engine drops significantly then that cyl has good compression/ign. try it with each cylinder (replacing the wire before going to the next) If you find a cylinder where the engine does not change much... That's gonna be your bad cylinder. Then it could be no spark to that cylinder or no compression for whatever reason.

junkyardgabe
be careful when you grab them wires cause you might find a wire and get what it's got
