TrailWalker Posted October 23, 2004 Share Posted October 23, 2004 Greetings. I have 96 Outback with 186K miles. My remote door lock system suddenly stopped working. I can hear a slight clicking under the dash when I use the remote, and the lights flash, like they should, but the doors don't lock or unlock using the remote. When I use the key in the driver's door, or operate the lever manually, all the doors lock/unlock like they should. I checked the fuse, no problem. The problem came up at the same time that my remote got wet, but since the remote obviously is sending a signal the car is receiving (hence, the clicking and lights), I suspected the problem to be in the car, not the remote, but that's just my opinion.
