Here's some text from Chris....

"The one on the right is after SOS pads, two types of compound, aluminum wheel polish and rustoleum flat black paint. Pretty nice, huh? Only 4 hours and a sore elbow.....3 more to go....ughhhh..."

I had to polish the alloys on my Harley last week. Lots of oxidation, but not as bad as those wheels. I have some 2in ScotchBrite pads that fit on my die grinder, they made short work of the stuff. Mixed a concoction of mothers and some stuff from work, and they shine like the one that Clantieri did. Nice work!

So to shorten the work, I'm looking at using power tools... You say you put scotch brite pads on the end of a die grinder...how do you do that...?

other power tools that people prefer for this work?

No longer willing to do the elbow routine so much... Too many wheels...

Thanks for any replies...

The pads are made for a rubber fitting that mounts to a die grinder. You might be able to find them on a tool truck or Tool Town maybe.

thanks so much

any preferences in die grinders?

like dewalt, heavy duty power or little bitty 1/4 stuff i see like dremels?

I have a feeling 3 amps dewalt style is a better tool.

you use air power?

thanky
