I'm soon to be converting an '81 2wd wagon to a 4wd using parts from an '84 wagon and a 5-speed d/r tranny I got for free. Anyways, yes, I'm coming over to having a lifted Subaru around... I better get my Brat back together so I can drive my lowered Subarus again:D Also in the works might be a lifted '80 Brat with an '81 Brat d/r drivetrain in it. The body on the '81 has been drug into death by rust but the '80 sitting next to it has barely any. Also, the '81 has the jumpseats and the low rollbar and the '80 has the low topper and a bullbar too. Qman Posted May 8, 2005 Share Posted May 8, 2005 Fun, beware that the tunnels in the 2wd are much narrower than 4wd ones. You will have to beat it to make a 4spD/R fit it.
