nkx Posted July 17, 2005 Share Posted July 17, 2005 theres a company called techworks engineering that makes an ea82 header. do a search for TWE, you should find numerous posts about it. im confused if they produced a version that lets you bolt a td04 to it, i know there was a lot of talk about it. This header is designed to allow you to use the stock VF7 turbo, or ANY of the newer style IHI/Mitsu turbos (VF11, VF34, VF22, VF39, TD04L-13G, 16G, 20G, Zilla SZ55....etc...the list goes on). Being 16 has its disadvantages.:-\ Is there any cheaper alternative? Caboobaroo said the TD04 won't fit on exactly, you have to play with the header a little. Caboobaroo Posted July 18, 2005 Share Posted July 18, 2005 the TD04 does fit onto a stock EA82 uppipe but the rear stud the bolts the turbo to the uppipe needs to be removed and welded to the header since it sits about 1/2" further back then the IHI RBx turbos. Thanks for all the info so far.-Victor the TWE header does not have that issue. ANY SUBARU bolt on turbo will bolt onto the TWE header as I posted before.
