ByTheSea Posted September 11, 2003 Share Posted September 11, 2003 You can slice the u-bracket off your shifter and move it up a bit. This shortens the throw without changing the stock look and boots. You will need to heat and bend the shaft a little after you move the bracket so that it lines up in the middle. Same throw, shorter rod AND knob My GL's short shifter Oh, and I ended up cutting off 2 inches, not 1.5 or whatever the page says.
