What it should of looked like.

I was doing some picture editing last night. I am kinda annoyed at the Subaru Baja. So I thought that my version is better. Heres a seriers of pictures that show you what I tried to do. Oh, and try to wait for the hole post to load before scrolling down.

What the beast looks like.

What they done.

What I would of done.

What I done it out of.

The lifted one, as requested below

I hope the ppl I used the pictures off of don't mind. If you do, I'll take 'em down.

And for the mods. I know this is a post with "new" subies in it, but I think its more appealing to us old brat and brumby lovers. Please don't move this post. Thank you.

Naahh. i would have wanted it about 8-10 inches higher with wheels more like the beast...ok maybe not that big but you get the idea.

Re: What it should of looked like.

The overhangs on the BAJA are just too long...I think that's the major problem with that car. By the way, maybe you should send those pics to Subaru and an application for their design team!

Re: What it should of looked like.

Thanks guys!.
Heres what I promised Mykeys Toy.

The rear tyre didn't come out very well. Anyway, I had to widen the mud gards for this one. I hope you like it!

Re: What it should of looked like.

My idea came form thinking of how the first brat was made. It was a uted wagon. So, instead of doing what subaru done with the Baja, I created the "new" Brat with the "New" wagon. I think I got most of the old design features. Like the inbuilt rollbar in the roof, the same shape to the doors and behind the doors, still keeping the light design off the WRX wagon. And also increasing the rear end behind the rear wheel arch. I'll be mailing some pictures to subaru as soon as I can print them out and find a address!
Now thats a car I would drive!!!

Edit: Nice one TROGDOR! What is the point in having a dual cab on a ute anyway!
I'll also ad that I only used MS Paint and Ulead iPhoto Express (the free scaner software I got).

Re: What it should of looked like.

Something else worth noting is that the original Brat is a compact design, not a midsize. If Subaru were to make a new Brat and stay true to its roots, they'd use the Impreza chassis. A Lega-Brat would be quite a bit bigger than the original.

Re: What it should of looked like.

Still need to move the front and rear axels closer to the bumpers. Then a lift with 30x9.50s, true transfer case, e-lockers front an rear, etc etc etc......ok, I'll shut up now.........
