hey sorry to bother you but i was directed here to speak with you because apparently you are the old fi subie guru so maybe youd know whats going on with my car. i have an 89 GL 4x4 on demand 5 speed 1.8 spfi-its always had a miss in the low end that wasnt bad & didnt affect the car at all when revving-but under load (under 3k) it would be jumpy & come in and out of power-then at 3k+ it would pick up and run like a CHAMP (this effect got a lot less noticeable after driving the car around for a bit)-a week or 2 ago i was driving along and this problem got WAY worse-now if im under 3k-3200k rpms my comes in and out of power and jerking (its not tranny related-just power comes and goes fast and BAD). ive changed the oil-plugs-wires-dist cap-rotor button-and checked for vac leaks (which there are none)-i have my cat removed as well as the o2 senor that went into it but i see no check engine light on-do you have any idea what the problem would be and how i could fix it? i would be VERY grateful to you if you could help me out because taking off in my car is very challenging now and its really embarassing considering its a maroon wagon already. if you get the chance to respond please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org
