90 Legacy, quits running intermittently, but restarts and runs good until the next time it decides to quit. no consistent pattern. Maybe quits 2 times in 30 mins or not for 2 days...Does this sound like the MAFS? as I was quoted 395.00 for a new one.. any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Does the car just die?

I had a very similar problem, except mine was not quite as regular.

It was the MAF, and yeah I think I paid around 300 bucks for a new one.

May want to check out www.newsubaru.com

Also, there may be a code stored. I have the procedure on pulling the codes on my site.
