since ya prolly saw the other post i'll cut to the chase..

the trans is supposed to have atf in it? (duh)
the front diff should have what? atf or 80w90?

think i figured out why it ate the governor... the front diff is full of atf, not a drop of 80w90..

Yeah, the diff should have gear oil not atf. Since it had atf in the diff, the ring and pinion maybe shot too.

well, it doesn't make any funny noises, and i know the 4wd works like it should.. so i'm hopin theres no real damage besides the governor..

the guy i bought it from said he was drivin along, pulled up to a light, and poof, no more 3rd gear.. he didn't say if he had anything flushed. but the atf doesn't look or smell very old, acctually looks pretty new.. so it couldn't have been in there too long..

time to flush the front diff, and get this wagon on the road. heh..

the quick lubes do this all the time because you have to diffrent people working on it one upstairs one downstairs and the guy upstairs doesn't see what comes out so he figures it an automatic so it must take atf they did this to a legacy i bought and it chunked a gear but it ain't as easy to fix as the ea82 ones i got to change the whole tranny it that
