Never heard of them before, but tried to get an inspection sticker yesterday and found that I needed new ones. Sure enough, they are ripped and oily. How much of a job is it to replace these ? Do I need to realign the front afterwards ? Thanks!!!

Wow, didn't know they could fail you for that, I passed inspection with a plastic bag/zip tie boot on my old car..

As far as I know they don't make two piece shells for steering rack boots like they do for CV's, so you'll have to unscrew the outside of the inner tie rod to get the new boot over it.

If you measure how far the tie rod is screwed in you should be able to get the alignment fairly close again (don't count turns, it's not as accurate), but might not be as good as a professional job...
