soobme
OK guys, I'm kicking around the "turboed carb EA81" idea (and I know that FI is "better", but NOT for me) and I was just wondrin' if any one out there is running a draw through sys. and could tell me what size carb they are using. I'm thinking of a webber IDA 44mm, or a 40mm. If I do it it will be a stock EA82 turbo, custom pluming, and stock comp. (8.5 I think) on an EA81 with '84 heads and an SPIF intake. Hondasucks
okay, first off, '84 heads have smaller valves than '85-88 EA81 heads do. (mechanical and hydraulic lifter engine difference) Plus, the SPFI intake is a lot more work than just "bolt on". But I'm sure you know that... you'll probably need to cut your hood and work a hood scoop on... but there are carbs out there that are "induction" approved... If in the 80s, they made turbo carbureted cars on production lines, I say it's all possible.
soobme
I didn't know that the big valve heads didn't start till '85, I thought that they started in '84. Thank U;) If I do it, I know that it will need a big scoop to cover it, but I was thinking of just having a hole with the air cleaner sticking out:-p
