Bored + Paint = new look

Recommended Posts

got bored today so i grabbed my Candy Apple Red spray paint i had for my car model and painted my taillights, now tomarrow im going to ether repaint my rims the stock white, or a metallic silver, again, to be different.

what do you guys think, white or metallic silver for the rims?

well i was thinking that if i painted the car another color, i dunno if black would look so good, but if someone can post of pictures of black rims on a wagon that would help. im probally gonna just go with the metallic silver.

this is whatmy rims on my 78 C10 look like after i painted them.

Tail lights look great, thats so funny that it actually worked and looks good.

I'd do stock white rims! If you modify/lift then I'd consider Black!

My .02

Glenn

82 Hatch, always had white until I converted it to a buggy-black!

01 Forester, stock silver rims.

i dunno, i might just redo them white until i get my new wheels, then paint them black and polish the lip.

Sweet82, ya alot of old tymers and new up and comming guys with their muscle cars are doing this, they are using just plain red paint, but the problem is that most of it wont stick to the plastic for a long time, so i just went and get some model car paint and used it, worked great on my camaro, same with my subaru.

You might consider using some of that imitation chrome stuff that is meant to be sprayed on scratched bumpers, etc...

Here's Roxanne with "fake-chromed" wheels. This is after fading for two years, and I think they would get a lot shinier with a few more coats of the stuff.

ooh ooh ooh

get some of that gold spray paint they sell at autozone for car trim and wheels, and BAM instant ghetto bling!

no j/k :D

on a side note one time I picked up a can of that stuff and painted all the trim on my roommate's beater volvo as a joke. he gets home and realizes he has a gold grill, wheels and door handles. You should have seen the look on his face!

he wasn't mad though, this is the same car that was totalled by his insur co and he kicks the body panels when he is having a hard day.

he does still drive it though....

sorry for the hijack, it is real sloooow at work today.

F.Y.I.

hey If anyone wants to paint their taillights, I HIGHLY suggest using the Krylon staind glass spraypaint.....It comes in a smaller can and allows light to shine through.../more safe than painting:rolleyes:

looks exactly stock if you spray tailights, corners, etc... comes in red, yellow, blue, green
