If it's a Subaru engine that you are looking for, why would you want to buy it from anyone besides CCR?

Able engines sell reconditioned engines, but I can't remember their site or if they sold the EA81T - heres what I got: http://cgi.ebay.com/...bayphotohosting
Link might not work - try searching for able engines on google or something, I'll help you search later - try archives too. Thats how I found Able. CCR is probably your best choice.

As far as competitors pricing 1000 for a long block is a down right steal. and that includes a 3/36 warranty, the same as a new subaru.

I agree. I haven't bought any engines from CCR, but when they save your life by selling you a rebuilt Hill-Holder valve so you don't hafta get reamed at the dealer, you start to like them! :D

CCR definitely is the way to go for competitive pricing. AAA-1 said a shortblock would be around $1400 from them. A complete engine from CCR is not much more than that.
