Mikldom
My 84 6inch lifted, desert camo, brat, the brakes are done!!.. can't build any pressure in them.. it has been losing fluid for quite some time, but now, apparently the leak is so bad, it will not build up pressure. and I still can't tell where it is leaking from. How hard to replace the whole master cylinder/power brake booster?.. I have a junk brat will all the parts I need.. what about brake lines..? any way to make new ones, how to bend? etc. Thanks. All_talk
If you can't build pressure and no fluid is coming out of the system then the master cylinder is bypassing, should be an easy part to replace... bench bleed it before install. Unless the new one is really expensive I wouldn’t mess around with a used master cylinder. Brake lines aren’t to tough to make, tube, fittings, flare tool and tubing bender or pre-made lines of the right length and a bender. The big challenge can be routing then through the car. LostWater
If you can get the master cylinder cheap reman, then you will be better off than using a used one. Reman MCs can be had for $35 in many places. Mark
