I have a 91 Loyale non-turbo. Just bought a thermostat and its housing gasket from the dealership. Should I put something on the gasket material? It has some black foam stuff on it.

Sorry to bother you guys for such a newbie question. Thanks, RJ

You can add RTV to hold it in place. It will help to seal any imperfections in the flange.
