Something about the insulation in those wires that the rodents like. We also gets lots of cars that have rodent nests in the air filter housing. WJM Posted February 29, 2004 Author Share Posted February 29, 2004 Sho'nuff. Knock sensor connector. And nope, no rats or anything like that underhood. Just heat. Heat is what killed the insulation on these wires...that and they are about 18 years old come March. Anyhow, Ive patched things up, the wiring harness is sitting beside the puter on a work table...too tired to install it. Plus, gotta change tires and install another (quieter) exh before a running test is started...oh, and unfoul plug #2...its all oiled up.
