Dead air strut swap

When replacing dead air struts with regular gas struts, can you use the strut top from the air struts on the new struts or do you have to get non air strut tops? Thanks

BTW this is a 93ish Legacy

You need to get non-air strut tops.

+2 - you need the non air top hats. Used are usually fine - check them over.
