Is anyone close to Portland Oregon that has access to a tire machine?

I need to mount 15 inch tires on my Peugeot wheels, but Les Schwab wants to charge $108 and I dont have that.

Maybe could work out a trade? I clean floors or something, or help you work on your Subie? I have some experience that I have learned from GD (that Im very thankful for) that could apply.

Let me know, I could chip in a few bucks, but nowhere near what Les Schwab expects

I do not, but do you have a Walmart nearby? If so, have you asked them?

What he said, they have been real reasonably priced for me as well.

Around Denver we have a lot of Hispanic owned tire shops that will mount and balance for less than $8 a wheel too so learn how to point or a little Spanish and get to it.

When I paint them I make a chalk mark on the tire that is dead on with the valve stem, then deflate and press the wheel down hard until you can tuck something between the bead and the tire, then reinflate slightly so it beads again. Spray away, then remove and put the tire back in line with the chalk mark. This should keep the tire from being out of balance. An old thin dish towel, thin cardboard, newspaper, etc can be used if you are careful.

Since you're in Hillsboro, check the America's tire, just off of 185th. The last I heard they were pretty reasonable.
They are quite reasonable; I use them whenever I'm down there for a rallycross. I will be buying my next set of summer tires there.

However, I can't recommend them for mounting rally tires. I did have an unfortunate issue with them when they tried to fix a slow leak on one of my rally tires and the tech didn't have the patience needed to work with my tire and damaged it in re-mounting.
