idosubaru
Had a set of SOHC EJ25 heads (2000) resurfaced and pressure tested. Shop said they loosened some bolts/nuts in order to resurface them - which ones? Would they loosen the nuts on top of the valve springs or the bolts holding the valve train/cam in place? They said they torqued them down but I'd like to check the torques and possibly even retorque them.
davebugs
I always send them bare heads. Less chance of crap being in the heads even after their steam bath gizmo. Also then I know tha status of everything. Check for abnormal wear, use assy lube, proper torque's, etc.
GeneralDisorder
Probably the rockers, etc. You should do a valve adjustment anyway and after steam cleaning they will be left with little lube so you should apply assembly lube to the rockers, cams, etc. GD
