Hi all im working on fitting an ej22 eninge into my vw bus trans.

to do that i know i have to get an adaptor plate and modify the flywheel.

I have an adaptor plate i made wich fit the ea type of engines, is there any way i can modify the plate that it will fit the ej engine? or there is no similarity between those type of engines - wich say that i have to get a new plate?

thx alot...

stack an ea2ej adapter on top of the one you have, that should be correct for an ej22, i would presume.

there is a 12mm difference in depth o the ea and ej bellhousings. using the ej adapter on your existing would be the same routine as using an ej adapter on an ea trans
