matan stolero Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Hi all im working on fitting an ej22 eninge into my vw bus trans. to do that i know i have to get an adaptor plate and modify the flywheel. I have an adaptor plate i made wich fit the ea type of engines, is there any way i can modify the plate that it will fit the ej engine? or there is no similarity between those type of engines - wich say that i have to get a new plate? thx alot... MilesFox Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 stack an ea2ej adapter on top of the one you have, that should be correct for an ej22, i would presume. there is a 12mm difference in depth o the ea and ej bellhousings. using the ej adapter on your existing would be the same routine as using an ej adapter on an ea trans Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
