It had a bad bearing, but i'm swapping in a 91 motor, with the heads shaved .030" and i'm having a set of phase II 2.2l valves installed as we speak, now my question is will an ecu from a 2.5GT 5mt plug into my harness and run my engine. the reason i'm wanting this is because of the higher rev-limiter and higher speed governor. If it won't work do you have any sugestions. blitz Posted March 12, 2004 Share Posted March 12, 2004 Within the last month, someone posted some info regarding the differences between 2.5 & 2.2 ECU's and IIRC, they were interchangable.
