advice on selling a 92 4WD loyale

Recommended Posts

From front range of Colorado, a popular Subaru area, It has ~150k miles, body in good shape, runs well but needs:

head gasket--coolant leaks out slowly

cv boot on passenger front

new windshield

Should I just put an ad in the paper? Sell it for parts? Anybody have an idea how much?

THanks.

in my opinion, ant decent car with a title should not be parted out, but fixed instead.

i myself would buy a car with a bad head gasket, knowing i could fix it. perhaps you should pitch your sell to someone who would be wiulling to fix it themself

Too bad you're not in the NE. Take NY for example... if the chassis isn't rusted out, it's worth repairing the head gaskets or slapping new engine in there.

'Course, nearly everybody out here has got that "cars are meant to be replaced, not repaired" attitude., so you'd probably have to find another Subie freak :D.

Yeah,

I just bought that car..............

leaking head gasket(oil) needs a clutch and an ok

bod............................ paid 2 hundred............. for it.....

in the northeast........... hopefullly,, all will go well and

for about 600 total i'll have a better car than what I

am driving now... which some how is the same exact

car right down to the color........... el bizaro!...

though this one i just got came out of Colorado....

and it seems that maybe it is geared a little different....

So what is your car worth you ask.....?????

go to http://www.kbb.com and be as honest as possible...

or http://www.nada.com ................ these are blue book sites...

These cars hold their value if the are not ailing........

lol.. i guess the reason i said 2000 was that the day before i stopped at an used car lot because i saw a Loyale identical to mine. was just curious... anyways, it had a bit of rust, a dent on the hood like someone sat on it, and a cracked windshield. Also had 203,000 miles on it. original motor. Asking price.. $4000...ya a bit high, but subarus go for ridiculous amounts here in Missoula. So, hopefully y'all see where i was coming from.

Yeah, I have seen stuff like that too.......

Used car dealers, car lots............

cars with 180,00 on them and people wanting

4,000.......... to me that car is used up........

doesn't matter how well you took care it.......

some things just wear out...........

I like kkb.com and nada.com ......

it actually is a good bargaining piece

when you can say that this is what the nations

database for sales on a car : says what the car for sale

is worth.... It really helps sellers come down to

reality..... and if they don't, I won't be the

"as% for that seat"
