Definitely an interesting read, Its sure coming along and is turning out great! I was shocked that the rear axles use a "U-Joint" set up Vs. a CVJ and DOJ.

Lots of Old Datsuns are Runnin' Strong here... Few are Looking Good, but I've not seen any 610 coupe in "Person".

the plans for the datto are now to let it be my hot rod as it was intended now that i have the subaru for a daily driver this winter she is getting a tear down and getting a new cam and dual side draft carbs the ultimate plan latter on down the road is to get the body work done and paint it with a vg30er ( supercharged single cam vg30 found in newer fronters and xterras) and some chassis reenforcement

the girl on the hood in the pic above is a friend of mine i was trying to get the car into the ratsun.net calender and figured hot chick on top of my car should land me a spot unfortuantly it didnt but i got some nice pics out of it

I like these old Datsuns. I think they are pretty wicked little rides.

yeah i love this car i moved it yesterday to where it will be sitting for a while and i just wanted to go driving it is definatly a car the is fun to drive i was sad i had to park her and cover her up for the winter

alright the moment you have all been waiting for she is getting paint granted another round of rattle can but she will bw all one color for canby

its going to get one final coat on friday when ace restocks there paint and then re assembly begins again its not perfect but im happy with it for now

That actually looks really good for rattle can, ACE rattle can at that! It looks fairly even and well coated, some over spray, but you are always gonna have that with the narrow spray pattern of an Aerosol.

well today i bought more paint at ace and did another coat while we were out my dad said ************ it and bought one of these



because we had this at the house



so after we laid down one last coat of color we cleared it here are the results











not to shabby when you consider its rattle can and the clear is the first time i ever held a paint gun in my life tomorrow its supposed to be nice so its getting waxed and reassembled

Do not wax that fresh top coat, wait a week or so, so the paint sets up. Wax has corrosives in it which remove grim and oxidization, this is gonna harm fresh paint.

Anyway, that looks really good. I don't see any runs or fisheyes. The clear really helped it as well.

the directions on the back of the paint can said to wait 6 hours said nothing about a week hmmmm

rolled her outside to bake in the sun to bake the clear coat and re assemble some stuff so it can stay out side

Looks real good in motion, sounds good too! I hear an Alt whine? But the motor has a decent sound.

thats actually intake noise the alt is a brand new delfi 110 amp out of a astro van i worked hard at getting to sound good 500 for the whole system from the head to tail pipe

Damn, 110amp! You could run a ton of Rally lights on that beast $500 is pretty fair for a complete exhaust. I am gonna try making my own custom exhaust for the GL at some point (Sure beats buying new stock pipes)

well i bought the header for 175 shipped the rest covered the 2.25 inch pipe run threw a magnaflow really nice system over all its gonna sound even nicer once i get my cam in it and it has a little lope to it
