$150 for the part is high, but not too crazy. $150 for labor is more than two hours!!!!! If they can't do this in 15 minutes they need to hand over their wrenches! The minimum labor might be one hour. What a ripoff.

 

My advice is DIY, it's really easy. It has been discussed many times, do a search.

I bought mine from oxygensensors.com for around $60.

So far no problems for the last 15K miles.

 

Not sure if I'm right but stock O2 sensor looks like a Bosch sensor that i saw at Strauss or PepBoys. Not sure how much it was though.

 

It took me some time to get the sensor out since the bolts and nuts were all rusted and welded to the exhaust pipe.

I showed them the letter I got from Subaru stating the TSB hadn't been satisfied. They said the computer said it had. I said well, it was done and it didn't fix it. They said OK, took the letter and cancelled the bill.

 

CEL came on forty miles later anyhow.
