(possibly injectors as well) What is the difference between a pre '94 Legacy turbo and an EA82 turbo? thanks BTW - my block is from a '95 Legacy, is it closed deck or open? Setright Posted March 19, 2004 Share Posted March 19, 2004 The blocks for the na and turbo EJ22's are different. The turbo is closed deck. Other detail differences, like forged pistons, bearing material and so on. Basically, you cannot expect the same reliability from turbocharging a na engine.
