my 82 red brat had a stock rollbar on it, and it also had a bumper reinforcing bar inside the bumper...

I pulled my front bumper off last night so I can replace it, but now I might see about incorporating the original bar in a custom bumper, as the bar was curved to allow clearance of the centerlamp motor...

the bar is white, just like the rollbar.... same diameter too I believe...

so anyway, if you have an early 80's 4wd with the chrome bumper, give it a look. could have a suprise waiting for you....

I did not have one of these bars on Grizzly when I got it....

I dont believe I have anything like that on my brat, but the bumper is coming off during sawsall/rust repair/painting time so we will see.

Looks to me like the rear mount bar thingie for the brushguard/winch mount, like that one I got off Shawn @ WCSS3.

cool. so then it will fit inside the black bumpers as well.... I wasn't sure....
