external VR or alt or battery or ???? 1980 1600....

the Voltmeter, accessory stuff, and the brake fluid low light (problem with cap) all were flashing/fluctuating. the volts still stay above 12, but still erratic....

one thing that happened, was I lost all my radio station presets. the wire that powers that is direct from the battery... so it seems like it dropped enough to lose it... I think this has happened twice now.

on my way home from work, all appeared fine....

thoughts?

if you rev it and it charges? I would suspect the reg.

it is more erratic under load/revs, but still fluctuating in the same manner.....

Why not just convert to the internal regulated type, and thus kill both birds? Can't be that hard to figure out the wireing for it....
