Well, time for a update.

Been busy for a couple of weeks, still need to button things up on recent upgrades.

ACT Performance Street Clutch and lightened flywheel

Upgraded front brake calipers to RS 2 pots then purchased bigger Stoptech drilled rotors.

SS braided brake lines

Should be ready for WCSS

Drove the car out of my shop without having to adjust the clutch.

Drove flawlessly during the 250mi RT last weekend.

Clutch still needs some miles to be broken in yet, but it pulls pretty good in 4th and 5th now......no more slipping!

Brakes are also much better now, feel like I have much better stopping power.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just catching up on a bit of light reading :)

About how long did it take you grind the glass on the inside of your lights? I've wanted to make a "quad" round light setup for a long time. Seeing as I've got the plastic backed lights, this is probably a bit easier.

My original thought was to reproduce the front of the lights in fibreglass with holes for the lights, but now I think your idea has merit. I've a few spare lights around to play with.

Also, where did you get the headlight protectors (though whether they'll fit plastic backed lights is another question...)? Because our corner lights here include a raised blinker in the side, ours stop short where they wrap around. I'm currently trying to make US versions fit instead because they look neater.
