 How's the reliability on the 2004 non-turbo Foresters? Are there problems with the head gasket like on the older 2.5's? Was that phase II 2.5's that had the issue. Thanks for the help.

The new headgaskets are fine. The Forester was rated best small SUV in some latest poll (top 10 cars for like 10 catagories)

I went and looked at them...they are nice vehicles and the reliability should be fine...better than any other vehicle in its class...besides...what else would you do? Buy a Ford Escape or a Chevy Tracker? :brow: ;)

got the new forester and love it... better than my old forester and the quality seems better than my old OB too.

I hope that you're great comments about the 04 Forester also apply to the 03?!? Do they? I am new to Subaru, and I hope that my experience with the Forester will be good. 10,000 miles so far, and I really like the vehicle.
