zmarrott Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 hello, subaru fans of the world. i have a 1986 Subaru Brat GL. currently in rough shape; a few small fixes required along with a few modifications i want to make, with the stock EA-81 engine and 4 speed 4wd transmission. would it be possible to replace the stock transmission with a T81G 5 speed 4wd transmission? im pretty sure the T81G was built specifically for the EA-81 engine, but will the transmission be too big to fit in the Brat body? and will there be any issues with gear ratios or gears lining up?
