What product gets coated on the outside of the seal where it contacts the aluminum, and what gets coated on the inside of the seal where it contacts the crank shaft.

Front seal install question

I use some grease on the inner part of the seal where the crank rides but nothing on the outside.

Oil the inner lip. That's it.

i put avionic forma gasket around the outside of evry seal takes care of any scratches or nicks and helps it to slide in and a little bit of grease on inside lip

Thanks for the replies. I thought it might have been a stupid question, but I see there are some different approaches here.
