Do the ej22 and ej 18 use the same timing belt kit and water pump??? I'm trying to get a kit off of eBay and most of the ads say it fits the 1.8 and the 2.2. So they the same???

Yes. 90-96 2.2 and 1.8 use the same timing parts.
This kit has the best price for the quality of parts. http://item.mobilewe...nid=03074468444

Aisin is the OE manufacturer of various components for almost all Japanese auto makers. The kit comes with 4 cam seals so you get 2 extras.
