Rossta86
Well i got my Eaton 10 socket today from snap on to remove the stub axles on my recently aquired lsd. I go to remove them and snap one head brakes off, then u guessed it snap the other head breaks off. So after i cursed at myself and said how much i hated fuji heavy industries, i realized i can't just throw this lsd away. Has anyone else run into this problem, what are my options, Drill them out? ANy ideas or help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. THanks
subarubrat
Naturally the head snaps off. If all of the head snapped off you might be able to get the stubs off. Try installing a CV cup and using that as something to tap on with a hammer. Once the diff is out the remaining screw should be enough to grip. Rossta86
So what u mean is put the inner cv cup on and try turnign the entire stub axle out? If so i will have to find another, since I through the axles that came iwth the lsd out a few weeks back? Thanks for the quick reply Ps. do u still want to get rid of that bumper? subarubrat
I am sorry I forgot to get back to you. It is a front bumper that I have, not a rear. I will take a look at the one in sunnys next time I go and see what shape it is in. You should be able to install the CV cup and tap the axle stub out IF the screw has broken off well enough. If not, some drilling will be the order of the day.
