I have heard that it is possible to covert an XT coupe's air suspension to regular (in spite of what Subaru says), just looking for input. Also, any leads on getting an owner's manual, it's an 86 XT Coupe/4WD/Turbo. Thanks, love the site so far, have gotten more info here than days of internet searching!

Standard loyale/GL rear coil overs bolt right up. The fronts are a little different. Struts bolt right up you just have to decide what stance you want your XT to have. Available struts include, XT(2wd)(4WD), wagon, coupe, or sedan(2wd)(4WD).
The XT's are shorter in comparison to the wagon, coupe and sedan. I would stick with the whole package from one vehicle so the stance will be even. All you have to do to the compressor is unplug it. You can remove all the stuff if you want to take the time to do so but it is not neccessary.

GK1008,
I just sent you an private message about your XT turbo. I called you about it earlier today.
Edit: I just saw your car on Ebay. Ahh! That hurts.

Check out HUCK's thread on XT6.net. He has a very complete set of instructions to replace the air struts with coil overs. Uses Impreza coils and aftermarket struts. These struts can be adjustable to dial in the ride.
