checking codes

Recommended Posts

on my 87 GL-10 SPFI how do I do it? I've looked at the ECU and I don't see any lights on it. I searched before and found skips(I think it was his anyway) write up on how to do it but I forgot and can't find it now

you must remove the panel below the streering wheel (the same panel as your fuse box).I cut a little hole in the panel so I didn't have to remove it everytime I had a check engine warning. You also need to have the key in and turned to ON.I hope that helps.

Light is on the side of the ECU. IIRC, If you have a hard code it will flash without the connectors connected. If not, with the key off, plug in the white(single plug harness), mines brown. Turn on the key, stare at little green light. There's more but I gotta go to bed.
