i own a 1980 EA71 subaru brumby, and i want to lift it. i came accross this home made 6 inch lift kit. i was wanting to know if anyone else has lifted there suby like this, how good is it and could you use two pieces of 3 inch tube instesd.

thanks.

That would be a first gen Brumby I believe.

You could lift in a similar manner, but none of the dimensions are the same as an EA81/ 2nd gen. chassis

The torsions tube on the 1st gen is the hard part. It's mounted diagonally, so it's not just a simple rectangle block/drop. You have to make an angled piece with a large hole to access one of the bolt.

HighGuys Lifts makes an EA71 if your interested. PM me for info.

yea i was going to measure everything off my car, the torsions tube sounds a bit

hard but i think i should be able to do it. i will try to build it rather than buy one. and where would i get extended brake lines for the front.

thanks
