rpholz
so, the largest window on the trigger wheel is somewhere around 36 degrees, largest value you can enter into the haltech is 32 SO! went to the junkyard and stole one out of a Hardbody Nissan:Subaru top, Nissan on bottom now the Nissan one is 180 opposite of the Subaru, so i put it in, installed the disty 180 out and moved the spark plug wires accordingly. and BOOM! it's way out of time and the fuel maps need adjustments. buuuuuuuuut it fires!

rpholz
Having some off idle stumbles but 1500 up starts to smooth out quite a bit. just have to play with timing and fuel maps. its getting there. very hard to tune at the moment as the O2 doesn't seem to be reading anything. rpholz
Got it to smooth out. I need to buy an o2 bung and move it closer to the turbo. Ill button up other things like the shifter bushings and brakes while I wait on that

Ibreakstuff
Congrats! How do you like the haltech ecu? And how much did it set you back?
rpholz
I love it, my problems aren't stemming from the ecu, just the fact the car has been sitting for 6 years. Plus I didn't change one thing at a time, I changed EVERYTHING at once. Anywho, the software is super easy to use, tech support is available by phone or email (they are pretty quick on email) the whole setup is fairly easy. I bought the ECM (sprint 500) 8ft wiring harness, intake temp sensor and coolant temp sensor for just under a grand I'm defiantly more pleased than if I took the MS route.
