lagwagon
Has anyone installed an after market steering wheel into a loyale. When I look to see which models the wheels work with subaru loyales are never listed. Is there a reason why they don't work ? Or is it because there just is not enough demand. I'm not affraid to make a custom part to make it work. I was just wondering if anyone has experience on this. Thanks My web site http://www.freewebs.com/subaruloyale/
75skunkaroo
we put a grant wheel in a '81 gl, we had to use the old stock wheel and cut the center out then make an adapter. hope this helps -mike
Warp3
Basically the only company that has a hub adapter application for the EA82 cars is Momo, but the part is pretty much impossible to find. Grant makes an adapter for the earlier cars (-1984), the Impreza/Legacy and even the JUSTY, but nothing for the 85+ Loyale/Leone series. For my '86 RX, I did the same basic thing that 75skunkaroo mentioned. I bought an '85 GL steering wheel off eBay, cut it apart, drilled a 3-bolt Grant pattern in it and bolted on my Pilot wheel (a Grant-knockoff steering wheel sold at AutoZone).
