It pains me to do this but- anyone know Andrew Parker (scam)

Recommended Posts

Anyone know this "gentleman" who scammed me?

Andrew Parker

East Windsor, CT 06088

I say scam because he has refused to reply to my emails since February (which are now being rejected), no part has ever shown, and no proof has ever been given that the thing shipped. He said he sent one, which became lost apparently, and would send another. Neither ever showed. My check cleared the bank a LOOOONG time ago. I know it's only $6, but it's my $6 I wouldn't have thrown away otherwise. I have been more than patient and more than reasonable, but I'm done with it now. Here are some of the emails:

It shipped...2 months ago? I still have the receipt. I'll go down to UPS tomorrow and see what happened.

If your e-mails are going unanswered and the mode of communication has broken down, then I think you are justified in seeking resolution to the problem in an open venue such as this that may be able to intervene. I see nothing vindictive or mean-spirited in your approach here, so I believe, again, you are justified in this endeavor. I look forward to the other party's side of the story (as at least that may open the lines of communication). If you get no response, alert the FCC as this appears to be fraud committed in the "airwaves of cyberspace," then, and that will be the last means of restitution.

North Ursalia: I edited your original post and removed the address's included. I understand your frustration, but we must respect an individual's personal privacy, and without the persons consent i dont find it apropriate to publicly display his Home Address.

I also hope you are able to get things resolved.

Well, I understand that I suppose, but would it not be better to leave the street address out and leave at least the state in? I want to know if someone knows this guy, and leaving the state out kind of defeats the purpose. I don't care if my address is publicly visible either.

I noticed something interesting here about the host of his email account, read info on site:

WELCOME BACK ASNUNTUCK.ORG

You may have noticed Asnuntuck.org had been down for a while. We are back up and going strong. Unfortunately all User accounts have been lost. Since the crash, we have changed hosting companies to PotentProducts.com. We are confident that service with our new hosting company will have a better uptime than our previous company. Asnuntuck.org STRONGLY urges you to contact paul@pebg.com to re-create your account!

Do you have a way of driving over to the residence and inquiring in person?

Ursalia, your right... it would be better. You have the permission to edit your original post, and if you'd like you can change their street address to their city, state, zip. Im just trying to prevent other viewers from paying him an unwelcome visit or anything.

p.s.

If you'd like to display your own address thats fine. I just edited all of it 1st, then read your post. Didnt even realize it was your own. I appologize.

Shawn, I saw that too, as I was digging into who is hosting his email addy for more specifics on his geographic location. I would like to believe it is just that the email is down, but it comes back saying the address was rejected, not that the account doesn't exist. I would drive down there, but it's at least 2 hours each way for me, and I was hoping someone local could poke him for me and say "hey, look at this." I'll try PM-ing him, but I don't expect any reply...

Andrew??? Hmmm. Let's see, He was supposed to buy some tires/rims from me. I waited and waited, emailed him, got a response with an explanation, I then waited and waited, same deal. I tried emailing him about 2 or 3 weeks ago to see if he still wanted them before I attempt to sell them here on the board or elsewhere. Permanent fatal errors on the email or whatever the message is. I figure he doesn't want my rims anymore but I can clearly see that he has email issues. I don't think he's a bad guy, a procrastinator, maybe but who isn't? I think he once told me that he lives near Paul so ask him if he has his # or something. I too can understand the frustration that you are dealing with. Sounds like you are being totally fair..."Send me the part or the money and that will be the end of it" kinda deal.

Alright guys, I have something to say here. (Not specific to this particular post)

If you have a part for sale and receive the money from the buyer, you BETTER be shipping the damn thing out no later than the next day. If you will be shipping any day other than the next day it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to let the buyer know and give a reason. That is courtesy and common sense. Why should you have your half and the other guy has to wait and worry? Maybe they NEED the part. Besides, most of us don't actually know eachother except that we meet here at the board.

On the other hand for those of you doing the buying, Don't jerk someone's chain. They are selling a part because they want or even NEED the money. Don't tell someone you want it and have them hold it for you and then never send money or wait a long time before doing so. If they hold it for you, let them know when they can expect their money so they can have it boxed up and ready to go. If you decide you don't want/need the part anymore then let the seller know so he/she can relist it for sale. Once again, COURTESY

It all comes down to COMMUNICATION!!!

Don't put a part for sale unless you are ready to sell it. Don't say your gonna buy it unless you have money to ship. I guess it's not common sense like I thought.... Boz

Get 'em Boz!

Noted that wagonsonly is a procrastinator to say the least. I am warned.

I've delt with more people on this board than any of you, and can say that it's very rare that people don't pay up. It is common for folks to say they want something and not ever follow thru.

I've posted my "positive feedback" and the list was about 45 people long. (just the ones I can remember board names)

Sooner or later I'll post my "dead beat" list. It's not near as long.

I'll join the procrastination club. Many here who have dealt with me know. Just ask Shawn what ive been putting him through with this tailgate i got for him. (ITS ON THE WAY TOMORROW!! I SWEAR!! :-p ).

If his email isnt working, im not sure there's much you can to do track him down other than meet him at his doorstep. You have his snail mail address... have you tried to send him a letter?

Andrew is a good kid. He's young, and in college at a young age.I also know that he has not been on the board much lately.

Boz,you're kidding right? Some of us communicate and set up deals that have allowed for some extra time.I'm almost all caught up personally, just have Kurt and Witte to wrap up.They both understand,or so they have told me.

Back to Andrew, for $6 and lost packages I don't think it's worth calling him out for here on the board.I'll take him on my team anyday. He's a good kid but has a lot to deal with right now.I'll pay the stinking $6 if you really need it back dude. What was the part you wanted again?Feel free to email me and mention this post.....I'll hook you up if possible to cover my homeboy.

BTW,you have a **BRAT DOOR HANGING AROUND MY SHOP**....for quite some time now on the stipulation that "you'll make it down someday,etc".....stop down already and you pass right by Andrew's on the way down.We ALL sometimes take a little too long to get to things it seems.

OK,let's all make peace and pass the pipe. The New England guys are dropping like flies in New Hampshire after mud season.

Brian, email me and I'll work everything out.
