I did see in an earlier thread that someone suggested rebuilding them (having someone do this). Has anyone done this? vwBrat Posted April 15, 2013 Share Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) So far I have been unable to find replacement struts or cartridges for rebuilding the old struts. I was able to find some 2wd cartridges on ebay that were close enough to make work with spacers underneath. Rebuilding is very simple as long as the housing is in good shape. Finding parts to rebuild or replace is the part that is no fun. If you find anything I would love to know. It would be nice to have the right stuff for next time.
