Guest Tin Soldier
I have the '88 DL as many of you know is in ruff shape since the now called rare in land hurricane we had here in western pa. I am looking to build a new wagon and I had some questions. I want something that is pretty powerful coz there are tons of hills here and I drive about 300-500 miles a week. I found an '87 GL with a caberated motor. How hard is it and has anyone done this, to change it over to a turbo. Would I want EA81T or EA82T? Or even more daring change is over to one of the newer subaru engines. This will deffinitly be a lifted wagon. 3 to 6 inch. The car I am looking at has a DR 5 spd in it. How compatible with other motors is that? How much extra crap besides the engine has to be switched over? You're help is greatly appreciated. Guest bushbasher
keep looking until you find an spfi with dual range, or a turbo wagon, then swap a dr in.
