Martin Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 I was just looking at another post with the various spring and strut ratios and was wondering if anyone is running their wagons with rx struts for that extra firmness. Is there any difference in strut length? It should handle nicer in corners. Are rx struts still available new, or are they harder to come by? Any other vehicles that would be running the same thing? Meeky Moose Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 i know scrapdaddy put 3dr RX suspension and drivetrain under his wagon.. only issue i know of is that even with the engine in the car, it still sits higher in the front than the back.. otherwise nice and stiff.. WJM Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 RX struts and springs will sit you up a tad more...and yes, it is a firm'er ride. There are a few people running RX suspensions. I for one...have a RX+ suspension on my GL-10 wagon...meaning RX struts, and 400 lb springs. What a cornering experience! I do have a bone stock RX, and it is a major difference in ride quality vs a stock Non-RX. The suspension responds better, its firm'er and more apt to hold the road under any conditions. This doesnt seem to make sense to me, considering that the wagon is heavier, and even though the rx springs are stiffer, rxs are lower to the ground, with the same chassis.
