The Scooby
ok for everyone that had listed their coo's and have larger then stock tires how did you compensate for the larger tires so that your speedo is correct. do you just deal with it being off, or did you find a way to fix it so it is accurate, or dod you go aftermarket speedo that is programable? Thanks, Shean
eyesore
Most just deal with the discrepancy and/or get used to it. There are shops out there that can re-calibrate spedometers, no idea of the cost or work involved. An aftermarket speedo is an option also, but a pricey one. Getting used to it being off costs nothing
GeneralDisorder
Usually the way it's done is to have a custom cable made that has a gear reduction spliced into it. It's not cheap, but better than trying to mess with a guage cluster. I personally just know what the percentage difference is, and just deal with it. subarubrat
I just replaced the whole dash because only the volt guage would have any compatability. The speedo is an autometer programmable and it works just fine. Very easy to set up. The Chevy encoder fits over the end of the Subaru cable once you notch it.
