Vancouver fountain tire bad work!!!

Recommended Posts

ok so my dad 2001 legasy needed a new clutch so he took it to our local fountain tire guys... dunno which one he went to...

ok so it usually takes a couple of days to do because they usually ahve more then one customer... it was done in a day and we got it back...

when we got it back it ran ok... we went for a ride and noticed it have a clicking noise when then engine was under load... we were like, "thats not right!" and went home... i opened the hood and took a look to see if it was something simple... my dad wanted me to check the tranny fluid level(i tried but it is a manual and they don't usually have a tranny dip stick... is therre one???)

well there were many simple things wrong... first the main battery ground wasn't connected!!!! fools!!!! i checked the secondary to make sure it hadn't melted under the load...

second there was about a liter to much oil in the engine!!!

ok so i was just putting this out there for you all....

any thoughts on the ticking???

thanks

not having one...

my question would be .. why did they add oil.. to the engine for a clutch job..

but then my thinking suggests

maybe they added gear oil to the engine <not sure why they would add anything to the motor for a clutch job>

and in turn your transaxle needs oild

and there should be... not always

but there should be a small dipstick for gear oil level ,,

as far as teh clicking goes.. maybe a loose bolt on the flywheel ?

or they did not tighten the tranny and or motor mounts correctly causing the motor/tranny to move more than it should under load

i know there are a few more things i should be suggesting.

but i cannot think of them right now

and any shop that cannot hook up a battery after they work on the car

and charge you money

is a bad place

glad i never have to pay anyone to work on my cars for me :)
