julianco Posted December 3, 2013 Share Posted December 3, 2013 I have a 5sp d/r from an '89 mated to an EJ22 into a '78 Leone, and I'm looking for a pinout for the switches on the transmission so that I can hook up neutral, 4x4, and reverse light switches without a ton of trial and a bunch of error. Do know, as Gloyale posted, Green/White (fused power) and Green (to back up lights), Blue/Red is from the 4WD indicator display, and one of the Blacks are ground. julianco Posted December 6, 2013 Author Share Posted December 6, 2013 This is what I've gotten to so far: the GW and G are reverse light as stated above. I pulled another power source, and when it is connected via solid line in the diagram (to the smaller of the two greens), the 4x4 light goes on only in low. When power goes via dotted line, 4x4 light is always on. So I'm assuming the 89 dash had separate lights for hi/lo, how can I get the single 4x4 light to light up when either hi or lo gear is selected? This might be obvious, but the electricks are tough. jono Posted December 7, 2013 Share Posted December 7, 2013 Found my notes of EA82 DR 5 speeder into my Brumby - so may help reverse switch is on LHS of box 4WD dash light switch is at the rear at the top low 4WD dash light switch is on rhs of box MY 4WD dash light switch is at base of the 4 selector lever itelf so may be same for 78 ? My tranny is an '89 5sp DR. As per above, I've got reverse working fine, and it turns on when in 4lo, just want it to turn on in 4hi now too.
