Colby Hinch
Just purchased a beautiful 1998 Outback Legacy. One of the small details I dislike about it is the wood trim pieces. Any thoughts? Replacement? Swap?
987687
Find one in the junkyard that has black trim, and just swap it out. I did that when I had my 98, I hated the fake wood trim.
johnceggleston
95 to 99 legacy (outback) interiors are swappable. check out the linh below to see which ones have the ''fake wood plastic trim''. i think the GT had it. i had a 97 OBW LTD and i dont remember the fake wood trim, but i could just not remember, a senior moment if you will. 987687
Some outbacks have the wood trim, some don't. Your best bet is an L model 2nd gen anything. All the trim pieces are the same sedan/wagon. The only difference is auto/manual.
Colby Hinch
Took some carbon fiber vinyl to the wood trim pieces. Doesn't look professional, doesn't look like a five year old did it. Quick fix until I replace with something more permanent. Thanks for the help.
